Inca Jungle Trail 4 Days / 3 Nights

The Inca Jungle Tour, is a tour more chosen by national and foreign tourists, a simple alternative to the Classic Inca Trail, it is the most original adventure that takes you to Machu Picchu. We will continue our tour on recently discovered roads. This tour is recommended for people of all ages who have a sense of adventure, curiosity and a bit of positive energy, since in this adventure walks, cycle ride, canopy and others, it is a tour of combined activities.

DAY 1: CUSCO – SANTA MARIA – BIKE

Pick-up from your hotel in our transport at 07:00 a.m. by the professional guide heading towards Ollantaytambo through the Sacred Valley where you will observe beautiful landscapes and Inca archaeological centers. We will arrive to Ollantaytambo in 1 and ½ hour to have your breakfast. Then, we will continue in our transport heading towards the “Abra Malaga” place for approximately 1 hour (4,316 masl) where we will begin descending by bicycle, observing a landscape of puna vegetation. We will make a stop in an archaeological center of Huamanmarka (built with a religious purpose), translated in Spanish means “Place of Hawks”. Then, we will continue in our transport to “Santa Maria” where we will have lunch. Then, we will visit the coffee plantations and fruit trees. Finally, dinner and overnight in the family home.

DAY 2: SANTA MARIA – SANTA TERESA – HIKE

We will get up early to have breakfast, then continue the walk along the banks of the river, along the way we will enjoy observing the diversity of flora and fauna of the place as birds (parrots, hummingbirds, eagles and if we are lucky to see the cock of the rocks) and mammals (wild cats, sajinos, siyahiro, monkeys), medicinal plants (cat’s claw and others) and fruit trees (banana, mango, orange, tangerine, cocoa, pacay, coca trees, coffee and others) to a small town called “Quellomayo” where we will have a rest and lunch.

Then, we will walk for about an hour and a half until we reach a place where the car will wait for us and continue on our way to the thermal baths of Santa Teresa (Cocalmayo) in this place we will have the relaxing bath, then we will continue the 45-minute walk to Santa Teresa, place where we will spend the second night in a family lodging where is the right place for nightlife in disco ecas of the place, where you will taste pisco sour, finally the night.

DAY 03: SANTA TERESA – “AGUAS CALIENTES”

Early in the morning after breakfast at 07:00 a.m. The decision will be yours for adventure in Canopy or Zip Line, it will be very fun but (not included) for approximately 2 hours. We will continue the hike through places as if you would be exploring the beautiful vegetation and observing butterflies, lizards, small birds until you reach Hydroelectric where we will have lunch, then we will continue the 3-hour walk to “Aguas Calientes”, where you will have dinner and overnight in the reserved hotel.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Very early in the morning (at around 05:30 a.m.), breakfast to transport us on the first bus that will take us to “The Wonder of the World”. The Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu for approximately 20 minutes.

Then, we will have our guided tour for approximately 2 hours where the guide will take us through the most important places of the Citadel (Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Three Windows, The Intihuatana, Platforms for Agricultural Development and other Religious Centers) after our visit, we will have a few hours to take pictures and travel on our own at the Inca Citadel Machu Picchu (the time depends a lot on the train schedule that is granted since it has to be half an hour before the departure of your train at the station).

The other option is to climb the Huayna Picchu (not included) to appreciate the impressive view of the entire citadel. Finally, we will take the train back from “Aguas Calientes” to Ollantaytambo for 2 hours, then by car to the city of Cusco and respectively to your hotels so that you have a break approximately 1 hour.
